FRIENDS, RUNNERS, CLIENTS LEND ME YOUR EARS (as Shakespeare would
say…)

What a huge achievement for Julie Haigney of Mayfair Office
members Allan Morris of Worcestershire and her good friend Joanne
Vanes. They were among 3,400 runners participating in the
Shakespeare Marathon and Half Marathon in Stratford-upon Avon on
Sunday 25th April 2010. A 9:30am start for the two athletes’,
as they spurred each other on, with the sun shining down on all of
the runners, making this a competitive yet pleasantly atmospheric
day.
Runners, joggers, walkers and talkers… all performing
their very best to get
to the finish line, with Julie and Joanne themselves achieving a
respectable
time of under 2 hours.
How do you feel we ask? “So relieved and proud”,
Julie Haigney said, “It was
warm on Sunday which proved more challenging, but we kept each
other
going to the finish line”.
Julie Haigney is a Sales Negotiator for Redditch Office Estate
Agents –
Allan Morris & Burford and Joanne Vanes is a Sales Manager in
Alcester.
Together they have pushed one another on, and in turn have raised
money
for an excellent cause, one which touches many peoples’
hearts.
Allan Morris, Worcestershire decided that they would have
Macmillan
Cancer Support as their charity of choice.
“We are a large organisation with 9 offices throughout
Worcestershire and
our Mayfair Office in London, and we were happy to sponsor such a
worthy
cause that is important to so many people. It is good to give
something back
to the community” quoted Mary Burford, Director of Allan
Morris,
Worcestershire.
The two runners have indicated that they will be training for
the London
Marathon in 2011, but until then…..put your feet up! Julie
and Joanne have raised between them £1,830; this will go some
way to assist Macmillan Cancer Support.
